Who We Are: Mission Vision Values
Our Mission
To be the preeminent partner for impact investing and charitable giving—helping us all achieve our greatest impact.
Our Vision
Change the trajectory of our planet’s future and improve the lives of all people.
Our Commitment to Diversity,
Equity, and Inclusion
We celebrate differences and actively work to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion across every aspect of our work. From embracing unique perspectives to ensuring that our investment practices increase access to financing for historically marginalized communities, we are rooted in the belief that respecting and supporting people from every background is critical to our mission.
Our Values
Our values live and breathe in action. They propel the pursuit of positive change – for people, for the planet, for today and tomorrow. A full description of our values can be found here and are summarized below, as these will guide our Offsite!
-
In an era of significant challenges, we embrace the urgency of the moment. We cultivate relationships, scale solutions, and move money as a catalyst for positive change.
In practice:
-We are compelled to action, balancing speed and thoughtfulness in our approach.
-We seek out and partner with organizations and individuals that share our vision of positive change.
-We bring together storytelling and data to communicate impact and outcomes across the ecosystem.
-We are just one part of solving these challenges but accept the responsibility of leadership.
-
We are trailblazers in the pursuit of positive change. In the face of complex challenges, we innovate and support solutions that hold the promise of significant impact.
In practice:
-We believe innovation and inspiration can come from anywhere – and we openly share expertise, ideas, and opportunities.
-We aim for simplicity but embrace complexity – always being solution-oriented and looking for creative ways to overcome barriers.
-We listen to understand before making decisions or providing input.
-We execute on what can be accomplished today while improving the outlook for tomorrow.
-
We are people-first and rooted in a belief that diversity, inclusion, and equity are critical to every aspect of our work. Our commitment is to support, engage, and inspire trust in one another as we create a better future.
In practice:
-We build and nourish relationships with intention, care, and thoughtfulness. We practice humility, especially when we make mistakes.
-We treat everyone with dignity and respect, fostering an environment of belonging.
-We communicate responsibly, authentically, and with honesty – remembering that we are tough on challenges, not on people.
-We approach every interaction assuming positive intent.
-
We aim high and thrive on a growth mindset. We hold ourselves accountable to our mission by focusing on the overall good for our company, clients, and community.
In practice:
-We deliver on our commitments.
-We use our collective experience to create the most optimal solutions.
-We check our egos at the door and set aside personal gain in service of the greater good. We focus on continuous improvement, learning from our successes and failures alike.

Red = no touch, please
-
Please note that this Offsite is considered a work event (at all times) and the policies and commitment to standards outlined in our Employee Handbook govern all of our interactions. If you have any questions or concerns during the offsite, please contact Cheron Smalls, HR.
-
Meeting norms are guidelines to help manage bias and increase inclusion. We often take our own preferences and communication styles for granted and treat them as a default. Therefore, the following guidelines will help support us in our efforts to ensure all are valued:
• Respect everyone’s time by starting and ending on time, coming prepared and ready to engage.
• Be present - put away phones and minimize the use of laptops during the meeting (unless required for meeting content)
• Help us to stay on topic – please speak up if you feel like we’re getting off track.
• Look ahead to positive action, not back on “shoulda, woulda, coulda”
• Balance participation - speak and listen, give space for people to share a different point of view or to disagree.
• Ask questions for clarification to help avoid making assumptions.
-
Please acknowledge if you notice we are not doing so!
